no holiday pay - can i get SW

two weeks into job after being unemployed since finished college in may. the problem is we are closed for 2 weeks over xmas & i've no holiday pay due as i've only started there. am i entitled to anything from social welfare?

You can make a claim to Jobseeker's Benefit (if you have enough PRSI paid) or Allowance (means tested). Remember, there are hugh backlogs so unlikely you'll get payment through until well into new year
