Night storage heater not working

Can anyone help please?

In my apartment we have 2 night storage heaters in the living room,one large, one small. No covers, nothing blocking or near them...

I switched them off in May on the wall switch beside each heater.

I have been trying to get them on again since mid Oct but no luck. Nothing is being emitted during the day,or obviously being stored overnight.

The manual part of heater is working (convector )

Oddly,the very first night in Oct I tried to switch them on the large heater did seem to be emitting a very weak heat the first day but nothing since.

There are only 2 switches on heater input/output and then one on wall for overnight activation and one for convector. The convector one is the only one with a red light.

Any ideas? Am freezing!

Ps How much would an electrician be for this kind of thing??
 
Might be a simple matter of replacing the fuses in the wall switches. I've had to do this once or twice for storage heaters. Last time my electrician upgraded the switches. He said the older ones couldn't take the load. Hope that helps.
