Are wood pellet boilers always 'on'. If not, how do they re-ignite?
I know the general idea with an oil boiler is that there will be a feed of oil through some sort of valve and then a spark to ignite it.
Wood pellet boilers have a burner attached that ignites the pellets so it works the same as oil in that at a certain time (if you use a timer) the burner ignites and burns the pellets heating the water that is then circulated to radiators and cylinder.
An electric coil heats up red hot and together with the fan providing air sets the pellets on fire, the auger then keeps the pellets fed so keeping the fire going and when the auger stops feeding the pellets the fire goes out.
