Maverick TV are currently working on a new TV documentary series called 'The Mediators' which will be broadcast on Sky 1 this Summer.
In this series we will follow a number of community mediators based in Ireland and the UK, observing all aspects of their work – i.e. showing how mediation is successfully used to resolve disputes between neighbours and communities - mediation has over an 80 per cent success rate.
The community mediators we are using all have impressive backgrounds, some have mediated in communities which were ruled by gangs or simply between neighbours who have had a bit of a falling out or can't get along.
The Type of Disputes we're looking for
It could be that the noises next door keeping you up at all hours?
Or perhaps you’re having a dispute over the size or placement of a garden fence?
Or are next door’s pets causing a nuisance ?
Or maybe you’re receiving unreasonable complaints from your neighbours?
Do you think your neighbours are prying into your affairs a little too much?
Or maybe you just don’t get on with someone and have no idea why?
Is your neighbour’s behaviour making your life unbearable?
If you've answered 'yes' to any of these questions, or if you're having some other type of dispute with your neighbour, then please contact us.
I feel it’s also important to point out at this stage that this documentary is not a 'Neighbours from hell' type of show, it is a serious documentary series where everyone will be treated with dignity and respect, the focus is on the work of the mediators and the important (and often unsung) benefits they offer to a community or neighbours in resolving their dispute.
