New Stove Question

We are currently extending our home and plan to install a stove in our new sitting room. We would appreciate advice on the type to install.

Our plan at the moment is to install a stove with a back boiler. We would heat the house using oil and maintain it with the stove.

We have been recommended two models - the Brosley Hercules 30kw and Boru Carraig Mor 30kw.

When the extension is finished we will have 4 double radiators and 13 single. 3 of the single radiators will not be used that often and will be turned off.

Is it realistic to expect the stove to maintain the heat with that many radiators?
Any feedback on the models of stoves?
We do have access to firewood, but would you go through an enormous amount?

Thanks for your help!!

I am not familiar with the models in question but if the 30kw is the output of the boiler in these stoves then there will be no problem satisfying your heating load. This is unlikely though as there will be an kw output to the room which will take from the output to the boiler. Even so with a 4/5 kw output to the room there should be sufficient energy in the stove to heat your radiators.
Remember though that these stoves have to be fed, stoked up well if they are to produce the designed heat output.
Take care with the installation as linking it to other heat sources will require expertise and knowledge of interlinked dual heating systems, not every plumbers cup of tea:)
