new Plumbing - 3 zones - 3/4" Qualplex throughout?

Hi
I'm doing a re-plumb of my bungalow, all the old pipework (mixed bag, copper & plastic, mish-mash of 1", 1/2 and 3/4 inch) is now in the skip!

I am running 3 zones from the manifold at the gas boiler - sealed system.

a) zone a - flow and return to three bedroom radiators, horizontally from the gas boiler

b) zone b - flow and return to three living area radiators, up from the boiler, into the attic, and down from the attic to the three rads.

c) zone c - flow and return to the immersion heater, up from boiler, into the attic, and down to the hot press

Question is, can anyone please help me with the pipe diameters I need.

I'm presuming I use 3/4" qualplex everywhere?

3/4 from the boiler to cylinder.

3/4 from boiler to each zone, branching of in 1/2 for rads and running in 1/2 to the very last rads on zone.

Qualplex shall not be used within one metre of the boiler.

You can have performance issues if you use too small a pipe so don't skimp on it.

for b & c run one set of 3/4 up to attic and put your zone valves at the point which they seperate. You'll be using 3/4" 1/2 " 3/4" tees off the rad run for each rad.

Thanks guys for your helpful replies.

Is there any resource - pdf books - , websites etc that I could refer to for general guidelines on plumbing & central heating?
