New Patio doors

Looking to replace patio doors as two big dogs have destroyed the glass in our existing one (full of scratches). Are there different standards of doors and glass ?

Several different types you would really need to visit a showroom, talk to the salesman / woman, ignore half of what they say, ask for brochures and then verify the info on line.
Ideally you need to look for the most energy efficient, security is secondary as you can upgrade the doors yourself.
You will also have to decide on french or sliders, tilt'n turn or tilt n slide

what if you ignore the wrong half

If nothing wrong with the doors just have the double glazed units replaced with Toughened "A" rated energy efficient units, the dogs are probable going to still do the same thing with the next ones.
