new large monitor issues

hi, i just received a 27" dell monitr as a gift, going up from a standard 19". i changed the resolution to the recommended ratio, but scrolling etc is a bit slow and jumpy. is there something else i should do?

Sounds like you have an integrated graphics card that may not be able to deal with drawing the higher resolution with the speed you'd like... You may wish to investigate buying a 30/40 euro graphics card...

Give us the spec of your PC please.

hi,
the pc is a dell dimension 8400 with 1gb memory, the graphics card is integrated. i'm about to buy a new system, dell again i think, with as much speed as i can afford, would this help? any suggestions on the new system? i have a small bsiness and i run my own website, will want ultra reliability and as much power and speed as possible?
