new laptop wireless signal problems

just bought a Dell inspiron 1520 with a Dell 1390 wireless card. Have BT wireless in house and works perfectly with my Dell Vostro all over house. New Inspiron finds the BT signal but keeps losing. Any ideas how i can get to keep signal consistently?
