New landlord in '09 - prel tax payable?

I am a PAYE worker who has earned rental income on an investment property beginning in June '09. I have never previously had non-PAYE income before and therefore not needed to complete a tax return or pay preliminary tax.

Do I need to pay preliminary tax this month? Do I need to file any return by 31 October?
 
If you rental income commenced in 2009, you have to in due course complete a Form 11 for 2009, and the deadline for submission is 31 October 2010, when you will also pay tax for 2009 and preliminary tax for 2010.
