new carpet for stairs and landing

Hi all
Am going out next week to look for new carpet, for stairs and landing with underlay, for budget of about €300. Don,t want to be riped off with all the extras these places seem to put on. Had bad experience with Des Kelly carpets before so not going their again. tks
 
I always found carpetright pretty reasonable.

They have branches in Liffey Valley retail & Kylemore rd..
 
I got mine done recently for 230 including foam underlay from Carpet Express. Reasonably happy with it. Went with cheap and cheerfull as it can be a nightmare to keep carpets clean imo
 
I don't get it, are you saying that you bought your carpet for your stairs and landing for two hundred and thirty euro, fitted with underlay and all???
 
What do you mean by foam underlay, is this new. I thought it was separate rubber that you got. Have three kids so need somthing that will last tks
 
Bargaintown had an ad for stairs and landing carpet fitted for €99 euro in one of the papers on Friday. Cappucino colour only. Don't know what it's like tough.
 
I find it amazing that you can do a hall stairs and landing for 300. Sorry but it must be pure crap. For that money all you're going to get is pure nylon, I can feel the static walking up your stairs
 
Top Class Floors did mine at a very good price and excellant carpet with proper rubber underlay..

Got mine done last year for €400 by TC Matthews, and that was with sisal whic was about the most expensive one in the place. Price included underlay and fitting.

I have used TC Matthews for carpets over the last ten years, and no problems.
Excellant service, carpets arrived on time, well laid, and great value when there's a sale on.
No connection with this company, a very satisfied customer.
