Apologies in advance if this seems like a silly question! I've just gone sale agreed on a house which is still being built, I've seen the showhouse and I've been told that the house I'm buying will be finished to the same standard. This includes fitted kitchen, wardrobes, tiling, sanitary ware in bathrooms etc. This might seem like a stupid question but I'm wondering how it works if I want to go about upgrading the standard spec for the tiling, flooring etc. The estate agent just said 'you need to talk to the builder about that'. Is it simply a matter of saying to the builder that I want different tiles and he gives me a price which is then included in the contracts?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
