I got a new gas boiler put in a week ago and part of the price was to include complete flushing of the system etc as recommended by AAM contributors. Next days there was no water upstairs so I got the installer back and he said it was an airlock and sorted it.
Today there is not hot water and no water for toilets. I called the guy and he is to call tomorrow but says it's nothing really to do with him as "they are 2 completely different systems". I'm not really that au fait with this kind of stuff but on the basis thatsince buying the house 7-8 years ago there has never been 1 issue with water I find it hard to believe this is indpendent of the work carried out last week.
Nope - that's the one in the attic, yes Davy? Will check that when I get home? If that's the issue, what would have caused that? Would it be related to the work to install the new boiler?
Maybe. You installer is correct when he says they are two different systems.
What may of happened is the installer shut off the mains water fed to tanks and not restored it. now tank has run dry. Your downstairs cold water supply could possibley be off the mains and not the tank.
