Need help tracing a tenant?

Hi all,
I have a commercial premises and just got stung by a foreign national, owes me outstanding rent, ground rates, building service charge etc...
I'm looking for advice on how to trace this guy, his original address which he gave was a rental. I called there and tenants said he moved out a long time ago, and cops were looking for him as well so they could serve a summons.
Any ideas how to trace him down?

Would he possibly have opened in another commercial premises in the same industry? e.g. if he was running a motor factors in your building, have a google for similar businesses and see if you can find a motor factors with a name that might indicate a connection to your errant tenant. Also look for a motor factors with links to any individual who has a name that might be from the same country as your tenant... then turn up on spec.

Another avenue would be to find a place where ex-pats from his country might congregate in your Region... a particular bar ? food shop ? hairdressers ? church ?
And, again, turn up on spec and see what happens...

I would also try to contact the landlord of his previous address to see if you can get a phone number.

What ever his trade was, or business was, check with the main suppliers of the supplies. They would know he they are still around. Better still if you are in a country area people will know if he has been around.. Or ask the Gardai.
