Need Advice on Paint Colour

I am in the process of redecorating and I had hoped to paint throughout the house with a nice cream coloured paint. I am sitting here totally bewildered with at least ten sample pots of cream and I still havent got a clue. I was hoping someone of you may have decorated with a cream paint taht you loved, then I guess I could add that to my collection!!

I have Jasmine White by Dulux on walls. Skirtings etc. in DH White also by Dulux. Its bright crisp and fresh against dark wood floors but looks good with any floor covering.
 
Like you, I ended up with a dozen testers and a confused brain. In the end I chose a few different shades of white for different rooms - limited shades available for kitchens and bathrooms. I'm very happy with the results, but it would have been simpler to pick one! Crown "cream white" is my own favorite and we've 2 rooms of that. Husband finds our Crown "Stone White" room a bit cold. Dulux Jasmine White in the shower room (matches the Stone White well). Started with Milk White in the kitchen but too insipid so painted over it with Crown "Snowdrop" - very nice. All the ceilings (except 2 vaulted ones) are brilliant white. Woodwork is mostly Colortrend (water-based white - lovely paint) as I hate using oil-based paints indoors.

An interior designer recommended Colortrend 'bottany beige' to us when we were looking for a color for the upstrairs of our dormer. Looks really well and sets off the off-white architraves very nicely.

Would highly recommend colortrend as well, as it's the ony paint I've used where you can touch up marks at a later stage and blends perfectly in with the original finish.

I have no assocation with colortrend other than a happy customer!

I have heard that Colourtrend is the same quality as Farrow and Ball at a cheaper price.

I have used GOLDEN SANDS & SOFT CREAM from the select collection
 

I want to do our bathroom wooden floors in an off white New England look but I am totally confused with the Colortrend and Farrow and Ball selection of whites. What colour do you suggest?
 
I used Colortrend FRENCH WHITE 0401W on my skirting against oak doors and floors. Looks really well IMO.
However, you may consider it too light for a floor.
 
I used Farrow and Ball matchstick in the dining room and living room for a lovely warm neutral shade but which isn't too dark or too bright. It looks like cream in the brighter room but more like latte or even olive green in the darker room but it is not a dark colour.
I think if you can afford it F&B is worth every penny. Their colour palette is much less confusing than all the different ranges that Crown and Dulux have (trying to pick a white drove me mad as well) and F&B also guide you as to whether a particular white is a cold white or a warm one which is great to know if that part of the house doesn't get much light.
 
If you have oak skirting and architrave would anyone know off hand what an off white would suit this or a nice beige, Would beige clash with oak?
 
Thanks everyone for replys, I went with Crown Ivory Cream throughout the house, although not finished yet, it looks really nice.
 
we where having a hard time deciding on a colour, i had put up 18 samples on our livingroom walls! we went to the colortrend shop in Dundalk the girls that work there are great they gave us large a4 samples and picked a whole colour scheme.
