We're currently viewing a beautiful house that was built 3 years ago and gas been lying idle since. My father (who is not a plumber!) is very concerned about heating system,it's a pressurised system piped for solar panels, while the boiler is outside the water tank and the pump are in a hotpress upstairs off the main bedroom. Is this normal practice? My father is very concerned about noise. All opinions welcomed, thanks!

Because it is apressurised sealed system it should make no noise cos it will have no air in it. It should be an excellent more efficent system

If its the solar pump in the hot press it will only operate during daytime.

Had to do some work on a new house recently that had been laying idle, system had to be flushed (as blocked) and the gas boiler heatexchanger had to be changed, but presume it was a poor installation to start with!

The buyer got a written agreement from the seller that all appliances and systems installed come with a full 12 month warranty for the date of sale, not installation,
so when these issues arose 3 months in the builder had to pay for the remedial action required
