National Irish Bank switcher payment

Hi all,
has anyone else switched a mortgage to National Irish Bank in the past few weeks.
They advertised that anyone switching in the month of Feb, would be paid 1000 euro towards their legal costs.
I switched a mortgage and after many many phone calls looking for the 1000 euro, They paid me 780 Euro yesterday.

I cannot get in contact with the mortgage adviser. I'm wondering has anyone here switched and received the 1000 Euro ?

Was i a sucker for their marketing bumpf ?

I know its only 220 euro but its leaving a bad taste in my mouth regarding my first dealing with them......

The offer was valid until Feb 28th, but only for fixed-rate loans - was this the case, and did you complete your application/draw down the loan before the cut-off date?

When I switched to them a couple of years ago the offer was €600, so €780 sounds a bit better than 'adjusted for inflation'... (30%?)
