Name on deeds of property but deeds are with someone else who is unwilling to hand them over .can you sell a property in this case ? House was signed by person A over as a gift to person B,but person A kept renting it out and earning from it ,idea was that it was inheritance and person b would get it after A death .
A sent solicitor letter demanding B sign it back
B name is on land registry as owner but no deeds in hand .any ideas on can B sell ?
Its technically possible, but the situation sounds like a bit of a mess.
They passed legal title, but kept beneficial ownership by the sounds of it?
Did you pay stamp duty when it was signed over?
