MVHR and zoned heating question

I have a question that's been on my mind.

Say you have MVHR and zoned heating. One zone comes on during the day (the living areas) and one comes on during the evening/night (the bedrooms).

By having mechanical ventilation (with Heat Recovery) are you not moving the heat around the whole house, so even if you have one zone heated, the MVHR is making it work to heat the other zone as well?

With heat recovery and mechanical ventilation you are taking heat from the stale areas ie your kitchen, bathroom, utility etc, and not from your living areas such as sitting room, bedrooms etc. the heat in these rooms will naturaly migrate through out the house anyway ie heat been transfered from warm rooms to cold rooms (through walls and under doors etc).
