Multiple Switch Cashback 2021 Discussion

Hi there,

I am a first time buyer and I am currently applying for mortgages across the various banks. I have read online that one rule banks have to avoid serial switchers availing of multiple cashback is to impose the "you must be with your previous lender for 1 year" rule. I heard from a broker that this was challenged in the consumer court last year and the consumer won the case.

Essentially I am wondering, do the banks still allow you to switch and claim the 2% cashback multiple times in 2021. Has anyone on here achieved this in the last 12 months?

My aim would be to drawdown the mortgage with PTSB -> BOI -> EBS ->KBC or Haven

If I pulled this off in 6-9 month period, the cashback I would receive would total around €24,000. After deducting the cost per switch it still works out at a substantial profit.

cheers all!
