I have an inset stove, about 10 years old, burn stove coal and some kiln dried wood.
It cracked this evening, single crack down the middle, still intact otherwise.
It’ll be a week or so before I can get replacement glass.
Anyone know if it’s safe to light fires in the interim? There’s a CM alarm in the room.
Don’t want to kill everyone at Christmas!!
I've ordered in a replacement glass for my multifuel stove after a log tumbled out of my arms when bringing in a load of them and shattered the glass ....
Had a look at that thread gipimannn . That guys glass seems to have shattered. Mine’s just cracked (so far). Think I’ll proceed with caution nevertheless.
