Hello

Myself,my wife and daughters are moving from USA to Ireland. My wife and I were born in Ireland but our children are US citizens.

We are in process of enroling the kids Irish schools which are looking for their PPS numbers and we obviously do not have these. Can any tell tell me how we get these and if this something we can do BEFORE we move?

Lastly we no longer have our Irish PPS/PRSI cards and cannot remember the numbers. How do we go about getting the card reissued? Again can we do this from the states or is this something we have to do one we get home to Ireland?

Thanks!

Hi dazzer
you cant apply for your pps until you enter ireland. It can be applied for on the day of arrival though

your local social welfare office can provide you with your pps number, its not re-issued

hi dazz, I was able to enroll my daughter in school without her having a pps number. I am American (as is daughter) and moved over here 3 years ago.

Hi,

May be the school for which dazzerb is enrolling they do need pps number and the daughters school of debek dont ask..

May be you can tell them that u havent the pps number right now because u r in the states and when u combe back u can provide them and for your and uw wife's pps number you ask from the social welfare office they will find out ur old number again wont give u a new number.....
