Moving roadside water connections

Does anybody have any idea what Councils charge to relocate water valves a few meters to one side on a roadside. We have 3 SV Connections right where we want to put our entrance. I think they would need to be lowered also as they are about 1 foot above road level.

3 SVs close to each other sounds like you are right on a 'T' in the watermain which I don't think the council would even contemplate moving TBH. Even if they did, the cost would be fairly high and they would have to break the water supply while doing it. You might be allowed to construct your driveway over them. Very often, risers are used to bring the turnkey on the valve closr to the surface for ease of access so lowering them would simply be a case of removing a riser and possibly replacing it with a shorter one. Any good plumbing/builder's providers would have these and a plumber or good groundworker should do the necessary.

Cheers baldyman27, I had a feeling it would be costly. Typical that they have to be in that particular location and the length of the road! I'll check out with the water dept and see if they think they could be lowered so I can drive over them. Even if I don't put the entrance here I think they should be lowered as they will be higher than the grass verge; I think one of my conditions of planning is that we lower the grass verge height to be level with the road. Thanks again for your help.
