Moving out of rental accomm, final month's rent query

Hi there,

I've given my landlord 4 weeks notice from today that i'm moving out of my rented room in a shared house. I will be owed a months deposit when i leave. I pay my rent on the 1st of every month.

Simple question is this, how much rent do i pay the LL on 1st sept? The full month? I'll only be there until the 18th Sept max.

Just pay 18/30 x Monthly Rent to cover you for the period up to the 18th.. Then you should get the full deposit back on the 18th.

That's the way I work it with my tenants who are moving in on the 24th Aug. ie 7/31 x Monthly Rent.
