Moving Job - Crossover of Employment

Not sure if this is the correct part of the site to post - please move if not.

I have just accepted a new job and handed in my notice with current employer. I have a 3 month notice period which its looking like my current employer will make me fulfill. I have a few weeks holidays still due to nobody going anywhere in 2020! My question is could I technically start the new role in say start of December and finish my current job in Mid December, but take the last two weeks as annual leave.

Is there any issue with this from a PAYE point of view in that I would be technically employed by 2 different companies for these 2 weeks?

Lots of people work 2 jobs. If you are due any payment in 2020, ask that you are set up for zero tax credits with your new employer for 2020.
