Hi all,
Sorry in advance if this is a repeated query but does anybody have a good weblink or can provide me with the pro's and con's of motor allowance or using a company car. I have heard varying advice on this subject and would greatly appreciate some guidance.

Many thanks to all.

There are so many variables that it can be difficult but here is my 2c.
I think that on a rep mobile (Passat,Mondeo) versus €10,000 PA allowance that the grey area comes in between 15K - 20K miles PA. i.e above 20K go for the car below 15K take the allowance.
If you are handy enough with cars and need the cash and can run a 5 - 10 year old car it might sway toward allowance. There is always the unquantifiable "hassle factor" that you don't get with company car.

Also if the company car breaks down they will provide another.

If your car breaks down you would have to organise a replacement at your own cost.

Also consider what you are carrying in your car, Weight etc..

If you are a service engineer and carrying a lot of stuff.
