Moss on a sunroom roof

We have a red-slated sunroom. Recently have noticed a lot of moss starting to accumulate especially on the ridges. Anyone know of a fix for this? It is not easy to walk on or reach to some of the spots.
 
Have used a karcher pressure washer for cleaning the roof of my conservatory. Normally used for cleaning patios but can be used for jobs like this as well if you turn pressure down.

You will probably be only be able to clean the areas in proximity to where you are standing, Maybe 3-4ft.
 
It would be very advisable to be up on the roof and aim the water downwards, if you fire water from the ground upwards you risk putting water under the tiles and felt and it entering your room on the inside.
 
Had a similar problem recently, got myself a long ladder, a manual pump spray bottle and moss chemical treatment. Any good DIY store sells this stuff. Works immediately and is safe to use on natural tiles, cement fibre tiles etc.

Its not advised to pressure wash tiles or slate. Secman gave best advise. Spray on a treatment. Pressure wash will only remove what you see not the roots. Most window cleaners will offer this service.

The best product I have found for moss and algae is called Mosgo, available in most hardwear or garden stores.

It recommends 5 parts water to one part Mosgo, however I make it much stronger. Spray on and you leave to dry. A few days later you will see it improve greatly. Some disappears itself, others you may have to wash down with water or a hose.

I bought a litre bottle for about €13ish, but they have small to large bottles for sale too. A 5l was about €28
 
Thats the stuff all right, couldn't exactly remember the name of it when posting. Works a treat .
