I wonder if i can claim mortgage interest relief on a mortgage that was taken out in year 2000 but came into arrears and then the bank capitalized the arrears in 2015 and I have to pay until 2032

The above post is from 2020 but I received this relevant reply recently from the Revenue Comissioners to my application for Mortgage interest relief which was news to me & which is somewhat relevant to the OP.
