Mortgage Interest Relief on my next property?

Hi
I've had a look on http://www.citizensinformation.ie/c...a-home/buying-a-home/mortgage_interest_relief but wasn't too sure.

I owned a house a few years ago and lived there for 5 years.
I rented for a few years and now am going to buy again.

Do that mean I only get two years of mortgage interest relief?
Or does the previous mortgage even count?
