Mortgage Int. Relief - PPR in Northern Ireland

Hi,
Myself and my partner recently purchased our first PPR in Northern Ireland with a mortgage from a lender in the Republic. I'd appreciate if anyone can advise if we qualify for mortgage interest relief. We both have always worked in the republic and paid taxes here but decided to purchase in the North because of the lower house prices relative to here. Any advice much appreciated....apple1
