Mortgage for Union Member

Hi,

Does anyone know if Union Members have any special deals on with Mortgage Lenders, i heard that some lenders take the fact that your a Public Servant on a Salary Scale into account??

EBS will lend on the basis of your salary three steps up the salary scale

Yes.

there will be information on this on your union website - best to print it out and bring it to EBS/ bank with you - the branch people may not be familar with the scheme and you may have to explain/prove to them that a special offer exists.

EBS have withdrawn 100% mortgages apart from for professionals and civil servants.

I am a Civil Servant but my partner isnt. Would we still qualify with EBS for the 100% mortgage if just one of us fits the criteria?
