Mortgage Advice for Self Build

I am looking for a mortgage for a self build approx 150 - 180K. I am self employed for the last 3 years.

For anyone in the know or who has been there before any advice would be appreciated - good rates, service, anything to look out for etc.

Bank of Scotland do that type ie self employed finance for self build I believe.
