Modern Glass Chandelier?

Hi, I have finally cracked. I have been searching for months for a trendy light, chrome with glass or cast iron with glass for our sunroom. Height 6ft on a chain. I can't seem to find one that is in the €300 region, would spend more if I really loved it. found one I loved for €450 in Arnotts, the circular lights with droplet cyrstal pendants that hang down in a twirl, but it has a large circle at the top and off course won't suit our curved sun room roof.
Anyway, does anybody know a place that sells lights online at really good prices or has seen a discount on lights in a shop in the dublin region lately? I can look on my lunch break as I work in the city centre.
I badly need it as having people over and need a light for that room.

I got a chandelier for my reception hallway from chez nouz in naas....it was given to me for a present but i'm sure it cost approx €150. It's chrome with crystal type droplets and it hangs on an adjustable chain. The are having a up to 60% sale at the moment. Also lighting world in st james street has some lovely stuff....only got some outdoor spot lights there so wasn't really looking at any of the other lights. Hope these help.

Thanks for that, Chez Nouz is fabulous, say it is expensive enough though, love their stuff, say you could spend a fortune in the place. I will look in James Street also, thanks for the tips.

I recently bought from Lightsaver in the UK, cost the equivalent of just over €200 including delivery which took about 3 working days from ordering. Lightbulbs which would cost about €30 here were included. I was seriously impressed with them. This light has a drop of up to 1 metre, but there are plenty of lights with a longer drop which may suit you.

Thanks TreeTiger, lovely light, definitely need it to be at least 6ft in length though, it is typical though, everytime I click on the light I like, it is always €1,500+. Murphys law. I keep going to this sight but the lights I like on it have a large cylindrical top that attaches to the roof and I can just accommodate a chain as our roof is curved. Otherwise they cost as I said above?

Abbica, you could try emailing Lightsaver (or phoning) and asking if there is an alternative fitting that you could put on the top instead of the normal dome/cylinder.

Also have a look at Litecraft who have lights like [broken link removed] which has a drop of 1.7m in total for £224 (stg) plus whatever delivery is. I haven't bought anything from them so I can't give a personal recommendation but they might be worth looking at.

i knew someone who bought a chandelier from this company. (i only remembered the company because of the strange name!:) )

she paid by bank transfer and the light arrived on time. she saved quite a bit by buying from them.

Thanks TreeTiger, nice chandelier, great website also, some bargains on it. I emailed them on the website, enquired about it, as it didn't say 1.7m drop on it. Just to make sure, see what they come back with but I do like it. Would reflect the light really well.

If you find a light that you like you should get the reference number and price it around the various lighting shops. Try National Lighting and Total Lighting...

Hi
I bought all my house lighting in a place called Fantasy Lighting on the Greenhills Road (from walkinstown roundabout, its about 200 yards on the left in an estate) No allegiance with the company at all. They were very helpful and after pricing around found them to be by far the cheapest. Price aside, I went in not having a clue and was delighted with everything I was shown. Worth a visit!
