I just want to be able to top up occasionally to make the occasional call and to receive the occasional call. Which is the cheapest SIM card to go for? Thanks.

There are a few virtual operators on the Three network, and a couple on Vodafone and Eir's networks. Remember, cheapest, is not always best!
