We currently have an alarm system that contacts us via text message if the alarm is activated through an eircom line. We are looking at getting rid of the eircom line and are just wondering if there is a product available in ireland that a mobile phone could be connected to the digidialler to ring/text us if the alarm is activated?

Thanks

Yes, you can get a GSM Unit installed which would basically be the same as a mobile phone with a SIM card, that can send texts/recorded messages when your alarm is triggered to a certain number of mobiles, without the need for a landline. As far as I know it would cost more than a text dialler to install.

If you tell me what type alarm system you have installed i will tell you what type will work. GSM units are expensive but depending on the alarm installed they will also give you remote access to the alarm for arming/disarming plus self monitoring.
