Thinking of buying one of these soon have to say I like the look of it and have owned two Mitsubishi cars before with no problems but still I'd like to know if anybody has ever owned one here and if so were there any problems with it?
It's a 1995 2L Mivec model freshly imported from Japan 60k miles on the clock looks to be in mint condition and I can pick it up for E4,500 sounds like a good buy but I'm open to any comments whether good or bad
Thanks,
Dobber

Nice car - fast. I believe you will have to grab your ankles though for a service.

Is it my dirty mind or does Gabriel mean that you'll need to bend over (forwards) and take it in the This post will be deleted if not edited to remove bad language?

ha -ha-ha very funny

Whys that?

Probably because it is a fairly specialised service which requires parts that are difficult to get in Ireland.

Exactly. I didn't mean it literally....more metaphorically!

I had an FTO for a couple of years and I would definitely recommend one, It was very reliable and aside from the 20-25mpg it was cheap enough to run. There is a guy in Artane who services a lot of the Dublin owners cars his details are on www.fto-ireland.com

I never had any problems with parts or servicing a cam belt service cost me €350 from a garage which had done serveral FTO's in the past, which was great considering its a V6 24 Valve.

Watch out for noisey tappets and worn suspension parts when buying and if its tiptronic (manual is more desireable but I loved the tiptronic) make sure the gearbox is behaving as it should as they can be tempremental if not looked after correctly.

Good Luck with the car!

Lovely car and was considering getting one but I've been told by
several reliable sources that what appears on the clocks of the second hand imported cars may not be the actual milage the car has done. The odometer changing is supposedly performed before they leave Japan.
Another bit of imformation i recieved is that as jap cars usually leave japan when they are only a few years old because of their strindgent NCT. As they know that they will only have the car for a few years they drive the This post will be deleted if not edited to remove bad language out of it. Consequently a friends FTO began burning oil as was only 5 years old.
