Hoping someone may be able to help me. I purchased my apartment in 2007 and recently got a letter from my mortgage provider informing me that the solicitor I used had not fully complied with their undertaking prior to ceasing to practice. So the Booklet of Title amongst other documents are missing and I cannot sell without everything in place.
My question is do I now have to pay another solicitor to do the work I already paid her to do and can i claim through the Compensation Fund at the Law Society of Ireland.
I'm waiting on someone from the Law Society to get back to me. It's all a big mess.
Any advice welcome.
