Mira Elite 2 "heating interrupted"

Hi all,

My Elite 2 is not working as it used to.
It starts normally and heats the water ok for about a minute or so (that might vary) and then stops for few moments. Then you can hear the shower starting to work again as it should and all is ok again for some time and then same thing again......

I cleaned the filter already ( http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showpost.php?p=279901&postcount=3 ) and after that still the same.

Anybody have any idea what that might be? I thought maybe it's limescale build up in the heating tank?

could be the pump.

The Mira Elite 2 has a design flaw which also caused poor performance. the heating coil was wound too tight and was easliy blocked up with lime scale. They scraped the Elite 2 and replaced it with the Elite ST. to look at the shower it is slightly longer to accomodate a longer, better spaced out coil.

But the water i sflowing constantly... And whent there is no heating water runs faster. It soudnds like it's working fine. Or you meant some other pomp maybe?

Yeah, I've read about that.
Is it possible to clean the coil?

Not that I know of. the pump is probably ok.
