Minor cracks between slabs in plasterboard ceiling.

Hi,

I need to paint a few ceilings in the house, which are showing those minor cracks between slabe through the paint existing paint.
My guess is a new coat of paint will cover them over for a whil, but then they will show again.
Any tips on how to overcome this problem?

You should really apply fine pollyfilla to those hairline cracks first. I have only just completed the same job on non stippled effect celings.
 

Rake out the joint where the plaster is cracked, fill lightly with joint filler and allow to dry and sand down before repainting.
 
I dunno with the constant movement I've always found no matter what you do it is always short lived, a pain but most houses have em to some extent or another.
 
+ 1 for decorators caulk... as it's flexible and designed to move not crack for this purpose.
