Microsoft Problems???

Did anyone have problems with Microsoft over the past few days. I couldn't open my hotmail account - had to apply for new password even though I know I was entering the correct one. Could only access the microsoft page, when I typed in other URLS things reverted back to microsoft page.

I have now dowloaded all updates and things seem to be ok now. Just wondering in view of the warnings now about the Microsoft April's fool worm was my problem just a co-incidence.
