Hi

My outlook keeps asking me to enter network password. When I do this the pop up box will not accept it and just keeps popping up. I went to Yahoo and rechanged my password and changed it on Outlook but this made no difference.

Does anyone know how I can solve this pls?

Thanks!

try adding a new account with the new password details, if that works you can delete the other one,

When you setup your account there is a checkbox for saving the password information. Use this or else it will assume you want to enter you password everytime.

whenever I am asked for a network password in outlook it is because I need to change my Windows password - I don't know the logic behind it but it might be worth giving it a try

rechanged my password and changed it on Outlook

You changed the password successfully and now its not accepting it? Are you accessing your mail from a different client i.e. a browser? If so you username could be in the format \\my_network\my_username. If you are using your regular outlook client it should simply be my_username and the new password. Do you have an outlook Admin in your organisation that can reset your login for you? Probably best bet.

hi,

thanks for your replies. Everything is still the same. I changed my password on Yahoo directly but no matter how many times I change it on the outlook settings and check the box it still pops up.

If i set up a new account, does it delete all my saved emails etc?

Thanks.

if running with vista the box will keep poping up. it's just one of it's quirks.

I found this kept happening on Vista, until I managed to get a copy of Office 2007. The problem went away with 2007
