Microsoft mail and broadband

Can anyone explain how I set up microsoft mail to send/receive through my broadbad connection. I have a broadband connection and use iol for email. I was using microsoft mail through my broadband before but it was using dial up to access the internet. I upgraded my router software and now my broadband works fine through internet explorer but I can't figure out ho to set it up through microsoft mail. I have tried google and the iol help page but no good.

If I select the account and then properties, once I click on the 'connections' tab, it freezes.

Any info appreciated

Got it sorted,

I deleted the account and then set it up again from scratch. Seems fine now.

Can I ask how did you manage to set up Microsoft mail? I have opened Microsoft mail and default is an option or alternatively I can create a new account. To set up a new account it is looking for my server?, email address (can this be my gmail email address?), etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
