Medical Card Query

My grandmother got very ill a few weeks ago and we discovered her medical card had lapsed. Social welfare had sent out a form when the means testing came in to an old address which she never got. As she never gets sick we didn't realise it.

Anyway to cut a long story short she passed away last week and her new medical card arrived a few days ago. Is there anyway of claiming back on all the medication we bought, I have all the receipts it came to about €400

You can send or bring the receipts into the Community Care HQ of the HSE where the application was dealt with and they can arrange a reimbursement.
