Medical Card Processing Time

I understand that it will vary between different offices but - has anyone recently been approved for a Medical Card and if so, how long did it take for your application to be processed?
 
My nephew turned 16 last September and as such had to apply for a card in his own right . Made the application around his birthday 9th September. Still hasn't heard anything

Wow, that's a long time. I suppose they're inundated with applications this year as people's circumstances have changed.
 
you can ring up office that u gave in the application form to they will have the number if u are accepted.they send it away to get the details on the card thats why it takes so long
 
i sent back in all my forms for my renewal back in October and I havent heard anything yet. Doc informed my that my medical card is up on New Years Eve.
