Medical card entitlement?

I'm 27 year's old and living at home. Since I lost my job jobseeker's benefit is my only source of income. Would I be entitled to a medical card?

Yes, based on current guidelines you should qualify. Persons whose only income is a Social Welfare payments qualify even if their actual income exceeds the financial guidelines.

I get €272 JBS (including dependant adult for my wife) and she earns €173 per week. Am I entitled to a medical card?

As there is additional income (wages and JB) you will have to satisfy the income guidelines to qualify - follow the link above to see the 2009 income guidelines. If you don't qualify for a medical card, you might qualify for a GP visit card.
