Means testing a contributory pension

My mum is in her late 80's and has 40k in her post office account, her pension is contributory, though I believe she only worked as paye for 10 years approx, will she be means tested on her savings.

Hi

If she has a contributory pension, it means she has earned it as a result of her, or her, husband's contributions. It will not be means tested.

Are you sure that it is contributory? Is is a widow's pension?
