I have a problem with my accommodation.
I moved in with a friend of mine and his girlfriend four months ago and things havent worked out and and I gave my notice to leave stating that I would pay my share of this months rent last Thursday.
On friday I went house hunting and when I arrived back I found they had packed away some of their things. When i logged in to facebook i found that they were moving out sometime next week. Over the weekend there was further evidence that they were leaving and they didnt inform me of this.
I presumed they were trying to do a runner leaving me with a 700 euro a month rent.
I am on a community welfare allowance of 150 a week so evan if i didnt eat i couldnt afford that so i took a decision to pay the depoist on the new house so i got a loan from my folks to pay it aslong as i payed half of it back on Thursday.
So i payed the depost today then i got a text from my former friend saying he needed to talk about rent and other bills i told him since he was leaving early so was i and couldnt pay rent because i had payed a deposit on a new home because i thought he was doing a runner leaving me with the agro.
Then i find out from him even if i pay the rent i said id pay the landlod still may sue the 3 of us for rent owed we paid a month in advance so we should paid up till feb if they take our deposit aswell.
Now can the landlord sue me because the other two decided to leave after i decided to?
