hi i am 21 and due to start college on monday.
i have droped my hours at work down to 20 hrs a week and i really cant survive on that.
so is there any funding or benefit that i could get to subsidise the drop in wages

Note - read them carefully - you're not considered a mature student until you're 23 - AFAIK. But I think you can still get assessed independently, but it would relate to how long you've been living independently (assuming you are).

It's means tested - based on last years salary. But they will take in to account if you need to give up work for college (at least dublin city did, they don't all operate the same)
