You need to do your sums about going back to work full time or at all. Start with the cost of childcare, then see how much your commute to work costs and see how it compares against your salary.
Secondly, if you are married, your husband should be able to take some of your tax allowances if you don't go back to work, that means he get's paid more after tax
Thirdly you'll find if you are not working, you'll actually spend less as you won't be buying the cups of coffee/sandwiches/lunch out etc.
Ultimately you need to figure out if you can survive on your other halfs salary and the Childrens allowance and €1000 per head you get from the government
Have to say, Mrs Sox took a 3 year carerr break last year after we had our first, best thing she ever did as all 3 of us are far more relaxed then having to run around trying to get home for the childminder
Is a careeer break an option for yourself
