maternity benefit

hi girls

can anyone tell me how long does it usually take to process a maternity benifit claim once ive sent the forms in, they should have gotten them earlier this week...i was made redundant fri 13th and am without money redundancy wont be until the middle of nxt year so im nearly broke , baby due in feb so im come within the 16wks of signing on for it luckily enough.

any help appreciated

It took them about 3 weeks to process mine. Submitted forms during last week of October and got first payment including back weeks last week. They are very helpful if you call them. My payments go in on a Monday to my bank a/c.

thanks ann...mite give them a shout on monday...i take it you just give your name and they can look up the progress of it?..3wks is long enough eh..once its backdated i spose
